Hi! I am so happy that you are here.
My name is Adrienne but people who have known me for a while call me “A”. I love my family, books, and sweets. I like flowers, the beach, and many styles of music. I dislike dust, traffic, and humidity (does a number on my hair!).
I’m married to Dave, who is simply the best guy ever. We were married in 1997 in a beautiful little church in Lancaster County, PA. Dave has worked for the same Fortune 500 company for over 13 years. He has also done freelance design work and we started our own business a couple of years ago. Dave is the most talented and hardworking person that I have ever known.
We have three kids. I will refer to them here as P. Dude, Miss J., and H. Man. They are awesome kids. They are all named after family members or ancestors. This was important to us. We will be welcoming a new member to our family in May. She is the little sister that Miss J. has always wanted... an adorable English Springer Spaniel puppy. Her name is going to be Jemma Jane, not after a family member but for one of my favorite authors, Jane Austen.
After college and before getting married I worked for a local bank, as well as part-time for my family’s wholesale jewelry business (closed down now). Since my first pregnancy, I’ve been blessed to be able to stay home with my kids. I work from home as a designer and copy writer for our business. My dream is to someday go into interior design.
I also have some experience in writing... I won a Keystone Award for journalism in high school and have been published in several publications over the years. I started my blog in 2009, looking for a way to further combine my writing and design experience. Previously under A Beautiful Mess, I have recently changed the name to Mom About Town. The same content is still here but I have updated with a new look and slightly different formatting.
